New York Times Book Review “The Schlemiel of the Deal”

“Move over Tom Peters, you’ve got competition in the annals of great business books!”

The Schlemiel of the Deal, by Donald Trump is one of the most creative books ever written.  It’s a refreshing, alternate view:  what NOT to do in every business situation.  This “real world” scenario book is based upon “The Donald’s” illuminating track record as POTUS, where for the first time in his illustrious business career his actual abilities were chronicled.  The table of contents is the new “must-have” to-do list for aspiring executives eager to ascend the corporate ladder:

  1.  Never tell the Truth – even when caught “red-handed”.
    • Dumb people don’t know better and smart people are too busy….
  2. Don’t work hard – even in public.
    • Just appear mad and disinterested.  No one will question you – trust me…
  3. Stay uneducated – about everything!
    • Learning is for losers – people with too much time on their hands.  A fresh, clear mind thinks better…
  4. Make decisions based upon who talks to you last.
    • It’s hard to time it to be the last – those are your most creative employees – and they’re usually the smartest.  Steal from them…
  5. Make friends with Rich people – trust them implicitly.  Hire them for your Cabinet!
    • They’ll do better than some dope with no money right?  Plus, if they get in trouble, they can afford a good lawyer…
  6. Denigrate everyone!  Don Rickles was my idol as a kid.
    • Start with physical appearance – dumb people like it when you do that the most.
  7. Make sure women know their place.
    • Especially the smart ones, go after them first.
  8. Nepotism is great!
    • Keep your family close – treat them like crap.  They can’t get away from you, not even on Holidays!

The Schlemiel of the deal is on sale at Amazon and Barnes and Noble for $29.99.  All proceeds go to the Ivanka Trump Women’s fund for the criminally insane.
